This is an exquisite 1:98 scale model of the H.M.S. Victory, with details including bound masts, yards with stun'l booms and foot ropes, carved full sails running and standing rigging with carved scale blocks, dolphin-striker, safety nets, carved fiddle-end prow with coat-of-arms, anchor with chains and hawse pipes, catheads, bitts, stove pipe, sail winch, belaying rails and pins, companionway, helm and tiller, ship's bell and other details. The planked hull with open gun ports with metal guns, pressed stern and quarter gallery decoration boarding companionway.

This beautiful high quality rosewood display case fits for the 44 inch "H.M.S. Victory" model ship. Let your model show more great looking and prevent dust and dirt from damaging this fabulous artwork. The case is beautifully made from solid rosewood. It comes with a separate base covered with soft dark green cotton flannel. The display case is shipped to you flat packed and GLASSES ARE NOT INCLUDED. Assembly takes only a few minutes. You can buy either glass or plexi-glass at your local glass store.

History of H.M.S. Victory:
H.M.S. Victory is the oldest commissioned warship in the world, and is still manned by officers and ratings of the Royal Navy. Built at Chatham, Kent and launched on 7th May 1765, a first rate of over 100 guns, she was the largest ship ever ordered by the Navy. Her excellent sailing qualities made her a very popular choice for use by admirals as their flagship. The latter years of the 18th century were times of threat and tension for Britain, and these culminated in the sea battle that was to become Admiral Nelson’s, and his flagship HMS Victory’s, finest hour. The H.M.S. Victory is now restored and resting in dry-docks at Portsmouth, England. Many marvel at her beauty and wonderful state of preservation, the result of the extraordinary work lavished on her over the past two hundred years.
Note: This HMS Victory ship model is shipped to you fully assembled and ready for display, with the exception of the bowsprit and top mast. Those are not in position in the interest of reducing the risk of shipping damage and saving on shipping cost. Simple assembly will be required and illustrations are included for your reference.
