This is an exquisite 1:50 scale model of the 'Royal Caroline', with details including bound masts, yards with stun's booms and foot ropes, carved full sails running and standing rigging with carved scale blocks, dolphin-striker, safety nets, carved fiddle-end prow with coat-of-arms, anchor with chains and hawse pipes, catheads, bitts, stove pipe, sail winch, belaying rails and pins, companionway, helm and tiller, ship's bell and other details. The planked hull with open gun ports with metal guns, pressed stern and quarter gallery decoration boarding companionway.

The case is beautifully made from solid rosewood. It comes with a separate base covered with soft navy blue cotton flannel. The display case is shipped to you flat packed and GLASSES ARE NOT INCLUDED. Assembly takes only a few minutes. You can buy either glass or plexi-glass at your local glass store.

About 'Royal Carolina':
Two royal English yachts were called "Royal Caroline". The first one, laid down in the shipyards of Sheerness in 1700, was a boat we know well by the name of the Peregrine Galley. After an appropriate adaptation of work, this ship which had been serving in the Royal Navy for a long time, had the honor to renamed Royal Caroline? On the contrary, the second one was launched in 1749 in the shipyards of Deptford. The old Royal Caroline was returned to the British Navy and received back its name of Peregrine Galley. She ended her service tragically, sunk with the entire crew in the Bay of Biscay. That was in the year 1761, the same year the Royal Caroline was renamed Royal Charlotte going on to serve the royal British family until 1805. It was completely destroyed in 1820.
